The Washington Post called following an online rant by pop singer Mariah Carey against “overhead lighting.” The author wanted to hear from lighting experts and might have suspected that I would follow the usual lighting professional response tactics and point out the complexities and intricacies of overhead lighting are far more nuanced than a celebrity rant could entail.
It may have come as a bit of surprise when I wholeheartedly agreed with Mariah Carey’s rant. Overhead lighting – the way it gets done in almost all of our homes – is pretty terrible. Most humans, just by the physical nature of the human body – is likely to agree.
The author must have liked what I had to say, because I got quoted a couple of times. 🙂
